Life is like a big, scary thing.

This is a real comic strip that I really read in the paper this morning.  Gotta love Mary Worth.

Confession

Today I went in for a nannying interview and straight away received a bite from their cat.

Is it bad that I get kind of excited whenever I get a small injury?  Because it means I get to use my cool band-aids?

A haiku:
How do I find you?
Where the hell are you playing?
Please, please come to me!

I will confess that sometimes I browse clothing websites looking for dresses I WOULD wear, you know, on the off chance I were famous and needed to buy a lot of red carpet outfits.  And had money.  And a life.

I feel like in this case, Charlie Brown getting a rock would be less depressing. Dig?

The acoustic version of Metric’s Gimme Sympathy a little bit blows the original out of the water.

Maybe it helps that it holds a rill special place in my heart.

Tomorrow I see them.  Meowrfth!

Today was one of those days when you are surrounded by people that just make you feel…kinda funny, and you think, mlerjaoiser, I like me.  The me that is hiding somewhere right now, the me I really wish I could figure out how to be all the time because I miss her.  I need to find a way to carve out some sort of career path that involves being me a lot, instead of…well, not.

So I thought this was appropriate to post today.

Steve Burns (of Blues Clues fame) telling this story at the Moth is seriously one of my all-time favorite things.  You know those things that you can’t really explain why they’re so important to you, but they’re just, like THE THING?

So this is the thing.

P.S. The Moth is the other thing.  The grandmama—pronounced as Anastasia would— of the thing, really.

I…am scared but fascinated.  Can’t look away.
